J Money
I’ve been wondering when that site would be redeveloped! It’s right next to Greenway Plaza, directly south of the former XOM research campus development. Very prime piece of property.

htownproud
I went there about 10 years ago for physical therapy. Memorial Sports Clinic (formerly the Roger Clemens Sports Clinic) directed me there, so some arm of Memorial may have been leasing it.

slcowart416
This was originally a cafeteria (Jetton's, I believe). I remember going there as a kid with my dad in the '70s. A lot of workers at the new Greenway Plaza ate there.

Popular Post Highrise Tower
'Strategic' Greenway Plaza-area property acquired by Houston-based real estate firm https://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2019/10/22/strategic-greenway-plaza-area-property-acquired-by.html Quote A 4-acre parcel in Houston’s Greenway Plaza-Upper Kirby area has sold to an investment group led by a local commercial real estate firm, which is considering a mixed-use project for the site. The partnership led by Houston-Based Senterra Real Estate Group purchased the property at 3440 Richmond from a joint venture between Houston-based Midway and Cathexis RE Holdings, which is also based in Houston. David Hightower, an executive vice president at Midway, represented the selling entity. The Senterra-led partnership did not disclose the sales price for the land located at 3440 Richmond Ave. However, the Harris County Appraisal District valued the land and improvements at $15 million as of Jan. 1, 2019. Senterra Real Estate Group CEO Neil Tofsk said the partnership that purchased the property is still considering the best way to make use of it. However, he said a mixed-use development is among the possibilities. “This is a strategic piece of property in the transformation of Buffalo Speedway,” Tofsky said. “The area is going to undergo tremendous changes over the next few years, and we wanted to be part of the transformation.”

Luminare
I don't know if this has been stated, but it doesn't seem this will include the actual corner itself. The bank wasn't fenced off. I don't know if this will be case going forward, maybe the bank is just finishing its lease, but if it remains there will be a real awkward corner just like what we are seeing at Novel River Oaks. Those darn corner banks! The same is going to be the case with gas stations. You gotta feel that at some point people will remember just how valuable corner lots are.

Popular Post Geoff8201
More demo from my angle... Wish I had a better zoom lens than an iPhone but will make due. So if I’m understanding right, the BBT building will remain? Unfortunate they won’t have the entire plot of land in that case. Hope their design incorporates acquiring it later on. Highrise Tower
What's exactly happening here? Richmond at Buffalo Speedway. How can this sit vacant for so long? The selling price must be too high I am guessing. There are 3 parcels in a row that do not have any activity. Braun Enterprises remodel At 3403 Richmond Avenue. Senterra Richmond: Mixed-Use Development On Richmond Ave. & Buffalo Speedway The RO: Mixed-Use Development At The 3102 Buffalo Speedway I'd hope once The RO kicks off, the others will follow. However, The RO is a tricky one. There is always registered permits and certificates but we never see anything come from it. For instance, The RO is scheduled to have a tower crane, but nothing has happened. Testing the waters.

I watch it all the time (I live next door). Every once in a while, something will happen, I'll get excited, and then... *poof*. Nothing. Example was last year when they cordoned off all the trees they wanted to save. Yay! Activity time. Nothing since... I thought they were finally doing some survey work a few weeks ago, but it was the Alabama rebuild.
