Highrise Tower
Saudi Aramco made $111 billion in 2018, topping Apple as the world’s most profitable company Saudi Aramco is by far the most profitable company in the world, according to financial data disclosed by the state-run oil giant in Saudi Arabia. The company made a whopping $111 billion in 2018, the data shows. By comparison, Apple made $59.53 billion in fiscal 2018. Saudi Aramco also made more money than J.P. Morgan Chase, Google-parent Alphabet, Facebook and Exxon Mobil combined. Put together, those companies made nearly $106 billion in 2018, according to FactSet. Saudi Aramco made its financial information available in a prospectus for a $10 billion bond sale, which the company plans to use to finance a nearly $70 billion stake in Saudi Arabia’s petrochemicals company. Despite Aramco’s massive earnings, the company did not receive the top credit rating from agencies like Moody’s since its heavy dependence on the country’s economy could be a headwind for the company. Moody’s issued an A1 rating for Aramco. Companies like Chevron and Exxon Mobil have ratings of Aa2 and Aaa, which are higher than Aramco’s. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/04/01/saudi-aramco-made-111-billion-in-2018-topping-apple-as-the-worlds-most-profitable-company-by-far.html
Highrise Tower
Took photos of the (parking) campus today. Looks like 3 empty parking lots included with the office building. The sale and possibility of this would be huge for Meyerland. Roughly the same acreage as The RO?
Highrise Tower
A Capital Retail Properties sign has been posted. Please tell me they are planning a large scale retail-focused mixed-use development. I looked at their other projects and they focus on large retail/mixed-use developments. Lower Heights District, The Shoppes At Uptown Crossing, Sawyer Heights Village, The Woodlands Town Center, and the Americana Downtown Redevelopment.
IntheKnowHouston
This is a 125,074 sf parcel bordering Meyer Park Dr, Jason St, and Frankway Dr in southwest Houston. 4501 Jackwood St is catty corner to the Highbank apartments at 8877 Frankway Dr. It's also catty corner to the South Cross Center / or Southcross Center at 8715 West Loop S (where Hobby Lobby and K&G Fashion Superstore are located). I'm uncertain of the neighborhood, but it's near the Meyerland area. I thought since this is in southwest Houston it should be posted in the southwest forum, but the way that particular forum is set up, it's not for neighborhoods in southwest Houston. Highrise Tower
Capital Retail Properties has this featured on their front page!! Mixed-Use Development consisting of 4-story multifamily and retail. The rendering features only one of three parcels of the 17 acre site. This is Parcel B consisting of 7.45 acres. Kinda cool! Can they get it off the ground? CRP does great work!
Highrise Tower
Phase 1 of Meyerland Crossing has started!! I could move this to Going Up! since there's a 4-story MF wrap planned. Still on the front page of CRP, might be one of their most anticipated projects? What about the last parcel? Did CRP buy the whole 17-acres? Amlaham
I couldn't find a thread for this but if there already is, please merge. This site has sat vacant for quite some years, it used to be additional parking for the mid-rise building next door. It looks like now a retail building will go up here. Work has already started, I've noticed work being done for the last few weeks but couldn't figure out what was going on.
hindesky
Two TDLR permits for this location, one is the building itself and the other one of the tenants.
Highrise Tower
Largest construction site in Meyerland! Any word on the branding of the planned multifamily building? I could see a Prose complex here. Workforce housing, rather than a tall luxury development. Size might be an issue. Parcel C is only 2.87 acres.
Texasota
Calling this "mixed-use" is lunacy. It's two pad sites, a strip mall, and a completely separate apartment building. A single developer building multiple uses next to (but in no way interacting with) each other is not "mixed-use".
