RedScare
Just in case y'all may have missed it among all the hoopla over the Texans and Dynamo, the Rockets just blew out Miami by 22 points AT Miami. Oh yeah, Yao had 34 points to Shaq's 15.

Houston won big today, in all sports! This is the biggest night in Houston sports in a LONG time!!I'm still happy over the Dynamo win, but yea, I think the Rockets have a championship team on them. YAO IS A MONSTER!!! And yea Trae, he DEFINATELY deserves MVP if he stays as dominant as he has!
KimberlySayWhat
What is JVG always chewing on during the games? Something I've always wondered but never asked. It looks like maybe a jawbreaker or a piece of ice. JVG doesn't seem like the type who would eat jawbreakers. I once heard that he eats M&Ms and drinks Diet Coke all day long, but his mouth is open too wide to be eating M&Ms. I'm not trying being to silly, this is an sincere question. ProHouston
Well, here we are 6-3, coming off a win, and disappointed. I guess that's a good sign. It shows expectations are changing. I really expected our first 10 games to end 4-6 and here we are with 6 wins in 9 games. Let's keep a positive outlook, I think this team is ahead of schedule. Once Bonzi gets into shape, Chuck Hayes comes back from injury, and T-Mac returns to his old self, this team will be unbeatable!
KimberlySayWhat
Marty:I heard him say ''I chew gum it helps me keep focus''Perhaps so. It's just the way he contorts his mouth looks like someone who has a piece of hard candy or ice between the back of their top and bottom teeth. The same way a dog looks when its chewing on a raw hide bone or something. ProHouston:Well, here we are 6-3, coming off a win, and disappointed. I guess that's a good sign. houstonfella
I guess it is me. However .... I don't think T-Mac will be the champion we hoped he would be. I think he is self-centered and lazy. It's probably just my thoughts. Anybody else think that way? Here he is 27 years old and thinking about retiring at 30. Give me a friggin' break. DJ V Lawrence
Man, the Rockets gave the Bobcats a beating tonight! 92-62! The lowest points allowed in Rockets history! And that's a week after holding Cleveland back to 63 the night McGrady had a concussion. Good grief!!http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/6254352From Charlotte's Adam Morrison:"That's the worst game I've ever played in my life," said Morrison, who in the past three games has eight points on 3-of-26 shooting. "It's difficult when the fans want me to shoot 23-footers with a guy in my face.
brijonmang
Yeah, the Rockets are caught up on this crazy idea of playing DEFENSE! What are they thinking? lockmat
Tracy McGrady and YAO kick butt yet again, beating the Wizards 114-109. If you didnt see tonights game, it was a good one!!! Get well soon McGrady !! When the Rockets are clicking, they're almost unstoppable. I just got done reading ESPN The Magazine's article on Dwight Howard. Shaq said soemthing like he's gonna be the next great center. No doubt he will be one of them, but... Yao is the man. I have my doubts though that Tracy will be healthy all season. Maybe we should make the trade for Iverson, seeing that Bonzi is obviously never gonna suit up, one of the greatest mysteries of the NBA. texas911
Yet Yao still gets no repect. I was watching the ESPN highlights and all they talked about was Gilbert Arenas. They only mentioned Yao at the end, even though he dominated the Wizards in the 4th. Even the crowd ohhhed and aaahed everytime he made a shot (he didn't miss one in the 4rth). Why, because he's not from the US? Or because he's Chinese? Or because he plays in Houston?
Houston1stWordOnTheMoon
Yao is way overdue for some respect. The man is a great ball player and a remarkable individual. Coming to a strange land without knowing the language and customs and in a few short months--speaking the language without his interpreter and taking part in the American Dream/way of life--all while playing a good game Props to Yao! tierwestah
man friday and thursday's losses were heartbreakers. The Rockets led the lakers by as much as 21 and they still allowed them to come back and beat them by about 12 points. I could tell K. Bryant was trying to keep from laughing. ProHouston
Yao left today's game with a bone bruise. If he's out even a few games, we're done. We're already half a team without T-Mac, Bonzi is starting to fill the gap, but with Yao gone, we have no chance. I hate injuries, why do my teams always have to deal with injuries? ProHouston
Yao is out for a minimum of six weeks. That's the season folks. We might as well just roll up the Toyota Center floor now. There's no way that we're going to stay in contention with T-Mac and Yao out. We all said it before the season started, "if the Rockets stay healthy, they're going to be something special." Well, once again, the Rockets get screwed by the injury bug.Can we get anything for Bonzi if we trade him now? He's not worth anything to us with the other 2 down. My focus has officially shifted to the Aggie basketball team, Gig' em.

ProHouston
Alright Rocket fans, our team has won 9 of their last 10 and Yao is sitting. The next 4 games comprise of #1 in the ESPN Power Rankings, the Mavericks, #2 the Suns, then we see Denver and the ever dominant Spurs. We probably haven't seen a tougher stretch of games in years. If the Rockets can pull out even 2 of these 4, we have to deem it a success.I think it's time everybody in Houston jumps on the bandwagon, this is a good team and Yao and Bonzi aren't even back yet. They've got their best record in years and are #3 in the Power Rankings, ahead of San Antonio. When was the last time you could say that?!?Go Rockets!!! He wasn't a star player, but I think he could have fit into this current team quite well. I think a big reason why fans didn't like him is because we paid him so much and he wasn't worthy of it. icanluv2
I believe that no team out there can beat a healthy T-Mac, Yao , and Rockets. Yes, i really believe that a healthy Rockets team(especially those two) can beat any team out there. That includes San Antonio and Dallas, Phoenix, etc. in a 7 game series. With Shane and a good bench, this team should win it all.
