004n063
Is there a "best photo of the year" contest on HAIF? Because I'm pretty sure hindesky just won it.

Popular Post CREguy13
I'm so excited to watch this area grow over the coming years. Fairfield and Hanover breaking ground in the next few months, then Regent Square's next MF hopefully not far behind coupled with the other projects currently going through the design phase... Lots of great new restaurants opening in ROSC too, this pocket has so much potential. Just need stakeholders to make streetscape, sidewalks, walkability, etc. a top priority.

jmitch94
That looks like the roof to me. The floor is quite pitched for what appears to be drainage and it looks like the structures on the north side are for decorative elements.

I think you are right, I noticed the pitch in the roof and thought that was weird.
Popular Post TX3G4R
Thank god this building used brick. I am sick and tired of seeing stucco in our humid climate. Looks bad after just a few years. This city needs to embrace more brick, it doesn’t show the mildew as much.

I think it's for safety, so material doesn't fly away and hit someone on the street level.

That sheet is mandatory when working with masonry this high up. The sheet helps prevent weather from immediately affecting the masons and the work still left to be finished. It also helps to make sure material, parts of bricks, and mortar don't fly around everywhere off site. The product itself is the cheapest available material for the job.
