What exactly are they doing here?  They removed the whole superstructure above the garage (the framework for it was still visible in the second photo in the top post here), but then work seems to have stopped.  Are they rebuilding it?  Or extending the garage taller?  Or something else entirely?

They have started assembling another crane near the work site. They've had police directing traffic as trucks carrying pieces like this back into the area between Lakewood Church and the parking garage next door.

Haven’t had the time with the holidays to really get some pictures, but a lot has been happening.

They have already started putting the new siding up and you can see the design really start to take shape. I’m liking it with the minor nitpick being the color. If they keep it how it is, it’s fine, but I’m hoping they paint it white or a lighter shade.

Helped a blind man through the construction zone earlier this week. Sidewalk was closed, so he was forced to walk near traffic.  I helped guide his path. Just to make sure!

I don't think anyone ever posted the link, so check it out below, the website has a video detailing the renderings:

On a side note, the workers have been installing windows for the past 2 days.

The rumor I've herd from a friend mine who's going to work at the club is that it should opening on September 12th. They're staff and not involved in the design/construction of the club, so I can't say for sure if that's a solid date, but they seem to think that's the opening day.

Photos: Life Time opens first local 'diamond-level' fitness club in Houston's Greenway area

https://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2019/10/25/photos-life-time-opens-first-local-diamond-level.html?iana=hpmvp_hstn_news_headline

Quote

The one-time home of Houston City Club in the Greenway Plaza area has been transformed into Houston’s first diamond-level Life Time fitness facility thanks to a $34 million investment by the company.

Life Time Greenway, as the new facility is known, opened to “founding” members on Oct. 25, with all members being admitted on Oct. 28.

Minnesota-based Life Time purchased the building at 1 City Club Drive in 2017, following the closure of Houston City Club. Since then, it has drastically altered the space.

In addition to completely remodeling the interior of the building, Life Time has installed a 54,000-square-foot outdoor pool deck on the roof of the building, which features a 75-foot-long recreation pool and a separate 75-foot-long lap pool. The two pools are surrounded by lounge chairs and cabanas, which allow members to relax after a workout.

Life Time spokeswoman Natalie Bushaw said the rooftop pool deck is the company’s first in Houston and is one of the unique amenities available to Life Time Diamond Signature Club members.

Inside the 98,000-square-foot building, Life Time has installed more than 400 exercise machines of every variety.
