H.Ham Posted March 8, 2017 Share Posted March 8, 2017 The Texas Transportation Commission will vote March 28 on 19 proposed mobility projects intended to relieve congestion across the state, including five Houston area projects. The proposals come from updates to the Unified Transportation Program—a $70 billion plan to be executed over the next 10 years. Of the $70 billion, about $29 billion will be dedicated to congestion relief efforts in major metropolitan cities. The Texas Department of Transportation plans to allocate $2.5 billion from the Texas Clear Lanes initiative to the projects over the next four years.
