Unless people have been living under rocks or worse, Harris County Judge Ed Emmett [R] announced back on November 17th, 2016, that he will be seeking reelection to a 3rd consecutive full 4-year term in the 2018 elections after months & months of speculation on his future.

Emmett, 67, was appointed as Harris County Judge in 2007 following the resignation of then-County Judge Robert Eckels [R]. He won a special election in 2008 & won reelection to full 4-year terms in 2010 & 2014. He previously represented East Harris County in the TX House of Representatives representing District 79 (1979-1983) & District 127 (1983-1987). He was the unsuccessful GOP nominee for TX Railroad Commissioner, Place 3 in 1988.

How do y'all like Emmett's plans on seeking reelection in 2018 ?

A.) Love it.

B.) Hate it.

C.) Wait & See.

I don't see former Houston, TX Mayor Annise Parker (D) running against Emmett in 2018 because he'd easily destroy her by 20+ percentage points.
