Former Ch. 13 Sports Director Bob Allen lost his battle with cancer last night at the age of 70.

Allen spent 38 years with Ch. 13 beginning in 1974 until 2013, where he later went to KHOU-TV for the remainder of his TV sports broadcasting career. He'll be deeply missed.

I just hope other sportscasters can emulate him as much as possible. A true talent and he will be missed.
