Popular Post hindesky
When I was at the MFAH I could see a boom in the air, didn't look big enough to install all the tower crane so I went to investigate. hindesky
It didn't look like they worked overnight. They were in the process of unloading the rest of the trucks that had the jib and aft jib which probably took another 1hr or so. At 7 am today it looked just like the pic I took yesterday. They did finish it today.

CREguy13
With the work schedule ending October 2022, I assume they're planning to have all 3 towers built by then, so we can expect activity in this area of Midtown for the next 4.5 years?

My hunch is that we won't know anything more until the first tower is complete or nears completion, at which point they may move onto other construction. Popular Post hindesky
These two cranes came from the Latitude Hotel Apartment project in the TMC on S. Main, the east crane was the one on Main St and the west crane going up this weekend was the crane on Travis St that was taken down a couple weeks ago, this according to a Heede rigger. I asked about the crane at the Hanover River Oaks since it's a Heede base and he said they would be putting it up in a couple weeks.

wxman
This building, being of modest height, will appear much taller I think due to it being the only high rise in the area and it being relatively close to the freeway. I'd guess within 15 to 30 years, but 527 was completely redone along with the Montrose trenching. Difficult to justify the expense of sinking it that soon after reconstruction. Compare to the Pierce, where one of the main arguments for its removal is that it is an inherently unsustainable design, with significant perpetual maintenance requirements.

Popular Post Urbannizer
Here's the next phase!! http://www.largearts.com.au/houston-midtown/ Quote Houston Midtown, Caydon Property Group’s first foray into the US market, is an ambitious mixed-use project under development in Houston, Texas. Comprising of three towers intersected by laneways, the development incorporates of a mixture of retail, amenities, office space, residential and public space. LARGE ARTS has been working with Caydon and US architects Gensler and Zeigler Cooper on this ongoing project, with the main focus thus far to pitch to anchor tenants and communicate the vision of the project to local planning authorities. Marketing collateral is currently under production, with the project to be launched to prospective tenants in mid-2018.
