Residential Houses In Front Of MD Anderson

Were there residential houses directly in front of MD Anderson hospital during the 70's? I remember a parking lot being in front of the hospital and the area I'm curious about would have been directly across the street from the parking lot.

I'm looking at HistoricAerials,com  maps from 1973, and earlier (sixties). Its hard to tell, but directly across Holcombe, south of the main entrance, there may have been a few scattered houses. I'm also seeing an actual plotted neighborhood,too, but that's across Brays Bayou.

Somewhere around there between the TMC and Riverside Terrace was a large bunch of apartment buildings that were completely gone by the late 1970s. Another mystery never figured out.
