trymahjong
From Cohen enewsletter Council approved the designation of District C’s Magnolia Cemetery as a historic landmark. Located at the intersection of Montrose Blvd and Allen Pkwy, Magnolia Cemetery was established in 1884 by members of First German Methodist Church of Houston (later known as Bering Memorial Methodist Church). The cemetery’s most well-known interments are Gus Wortham and his wife, Elizabeth Lyndall Finley, creators of the Wortham Foundation. This iconic institution supports cultural activities and the development of parks in the Houston area.
