Annual City of Houston Capital Improvement Plan Meetings
Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) meetings are held every year to inform citizens of upcoming projects in their communities and to provide an update on ReBuild Houston, the City of Houston's pay-as-you-go program to rebuild the city's drainage and street infrastructure. At the meetings, citizens will have an opportunity to hear from and give input to their City Council members and City of Houston officials.  For a listing of current and future citywide CIP Projects, visit http://www.houstontx.gov/cip. A new interactive website with project specific information on street, drainage, water and sewer CIP projects can be found at http://pwecip.houstontx.gov.

  • 4 weeks later...

Today is the District C meeting. I went to the one last year and the multiservice center was filled to capacity. Last also saw a lot of talk with very little new or different information-sigh.

This year I'm wondering how much the "pot hole" scandal that KHOU raised will be a part of the Q&A. Will also be interesting to see how many mayoral candidates are present-- not too many showed up at Feb townhall meeting.
