hindesky
Luxury mid-rise unlocks new River Oaks lifestyle for $1.5 million and up Luxe features include a doorman and 24-hour concierge. Rendering courtesy of The Revere at River Oaks Balconies boast tree-topped views. Rendering courtesy of The Revere at River Oaks At 11 feet, the ceilings are the tallest of any Houston condominium. Rendering courtesy of The Revere at River Oaks A lavish new development in tony River Oaks is offering luxe living to empty-nesters looking to downsize from large homes or estates. The Revere at River Oaks, a posh, nine-story boutique condominium developed by Houston-based Pelican Builders and The Sudhoff Team has just topped out. The upscale residence, located at 2325 Welch St., is already garnering buyer buzz. The Revere is already more than 75 percent sold out with an opening date of spring 2020. Prices start at $1.5 million. Kirksey, which also designed The Wilshire at River Oaks District, is tailoring the project to the target locals who look to “lock and leave” and enjoy the urbane River Oaks lifestyle (hence the development’s tagline, “Park Avenue meets River Oaks”). “It’s truly a milestone event for Pelican Builders and confirms that there is a market for people looking for a lock-and-leave luxury lifestyle in a River Oaks location,” said Pelican Builders President Derek Darnell, in a statement. The 30 residences in the classically designed mid-rise range from 2,500 square feet to more than 4,000 square feet. The units feature spacious outdoor balconies and expansive interiors with 11-foot foot ceilings (which, says Pelican, are the highest ceilings in the Houston condominium market). Other features include scenic, tree-topped views, oversized closets, fireplaces, hardwood floors, fireplaces, Wood-Mode cabinetry, and Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchen appliances. Adding to the luxe living appeal are 365-degree cityscape views, a 24/7 concierge, daily valet, and porter service. Pelican has already made a home in Houston, having spearheaded developments including The Hawthorne, The Revere, The Wilshire at River Oaks District, Highland Tower, The Briarglen, Woodway Place II, Woodway Place Atrium, The Greenway I and II, and The Woodway.

I think the fact the River Oaks Condos are 90% sold already confirmed there is a market for high-end lock & leave in the RO area. The amenities at the River Oaks also show there are buyers (albeit a relatively small group) willing to pay for an ultra-lux level of service.
