trymahjong
Houston Tomorrow invites you to a small gathering of Houston region leaders for a personal conversation with Michael Emerson, PhD, Academic Director of the Kinder Institute for Urban Research and Professor at Rice University. Dr. Emerson has recently returned to Houston after a year-long research sabbatical in Copenhagen. He was there to conduct the Copenhagen Area Survey, study their transportation and social systems, and is currently writing a book comparing Houston and Copenhagen. His opening remarks will focus on transportation, but the discussion can then branch out to what makes for life satisfaction in Copenhagen, and what lessons might be learned for Houston. The concept for Ask the Expert Breakfast events is to create an intimate dialogue so that attendees may discuss and ask questions about Houston's future with experts such as Dr. Emerson.Date & Time: Tuesday, August 12 · 7:30 amCost: $50 · SEATING LIMITED TO 30Location: The City Club - One City Club Drive - Greenway Plaza - Houston, TX
