Pearl On Washington: 5-Story Mixed-Use Apartment Building

Recommended Posts

That is a different project.  You are referring to the project in the link below... I think there is a thread somewhere on here that needs to be dug up and updated.

EDIT: Here is the link to the Elan Memorial Park by Greystar

You're right I had the two mixed up.

WestUDweller, I'm with you, can't decide, but overall probably favorable since it doesn't have the cookie cutter midrise (shades of taupe, stucco) going up all over Houston and could have been a lot worse (low bar). Not a big fan of siding either, but like the dark treatments here. I wish they had gone for first floor retail like Elan Memorial Park, going up just west on Washington.

Traffic on Washington is about to get really bad!!!

Last I heard, they're wasn't going to be any ground level retail. Is that still the case? Speaking of which, anyone heard what retail is going in under Elan @ Memorial Park (sorry for commingling topics).

Rode by yesterday looking for any signs indicating who would be part of the retail mix but saw nothing.

Approaching from the east side, looks like the tower crane might be gone.

South side fronting Washington Ave. definitely looks like the crane is gone

And yes the tower crane just came down, they were wrapping things up.
