Nice. Website now says it will open September 27th. So we have a little over a month.

The rooftop patio is looking great, with a new TPO roof and most of the pavers installed, but I would definitely not want to swim in that pool right now!

Pool looks filled and ready from my vantage point.

The lobby has mattresses stacked up everywhere ad they have started putting up interior sineage and other stuff. Have they announced an opening date? I could see a soft opening within a month.

Their website says September 27th, which is just under two weeks away.

It sounds like they're right on schedule. Its amazing how much they can get done in crunch time. They bring in a thousand workers and overwhelm the interiors.

^^^ @adr props our good pal for these wonderful illustrations.  however, is it possible for you to capture some front exterior building shots?  is it newly and completely painted?  how does the front entry look?  what about the ALOFT signage?  what about the glass on the windows?  so very many queries here, if you can, please help.....

I just realized I forgot to upload this photo last Wednesday, but they have the pool furniture out now (or at least they did last week; I'm out of town at the moment):

^^^ @Urbannizer outstanding work as always urb!  i was really wondering about the exterior details of this structure.  however, the first photo shows a cleaned and shining exterior.  maybe it was power washed.... who knows?  the front entry seems beautiful from what we can see.  the third illustration's hotel room is beautiful... wow!  this is going to become one happening little hotel that downtown desperately needed.....

It's so great to see an old 100 year + building come alive like this!

All the hotel brands are making a big difference downtown.

Looks like the bar won't quite be finished in time, if it's supposed to be open tomorrow, because this is what it looks like today:

They're probably working  all night tonight all over the hotel. They might even have plants up there, maybe some Palms by tomorrow.

I feel like this popped up overnight.

They really started in on it ~15 months go. Compared to the Texaco conversion, this thing was a regular bat out of hell.

^^^ very nice pool ambiance.  however, they REALLY need to include more trees / potted plants and foliage.  the place just look's so devoid of plant life.  very dry / hot desert looking.  also, PROPS to all of the generous HAIF photographers for your great work in keeping us in the loop on this wonderful downtown development.

Just about done!  After they arranged all the patio furniture for the photoshoot shown above, they moved everything aside again to wash the whole deck, and today they positioned all the furniture again!  Bar still isn't quite ready yet, but the rest appears done:

On my way in this morning I saw a girl cleaning a window but the rest were still dirty. I didn't think to look again during lunch.

Not sure how they got my email, but they sent out this invitation yesterday for an event next Thursday so I'll probably walk over and check it out. Just passing it along in case anyone is interested in checking it out.

Is there elevator music?

I vote for Pink Floyd. Their instrumentals would be perfect.

Anyone know if there is a waiting list for reservations?

This is on my revised bucket list.

Why does that decor look like something straight out of the '60's? I would have to walk into that building to get a good sense of whether that works or not.

Wife and I stayed here over the weekend. It was okay. nothing special. But for the price, I can't complain too much. But compared to other aLoft's I've stayed at i'm not that impressed. There is no signage inside the property. As a guest you have no idea where anything is. Every SPG hotel I've stayed at, includes a booklet or binder inside the room about the property describing amenities, area attractions, etc, except this one. The elevators have not been updated either, so as a guest you wouldn't know which button to push for the gym for example (I heard it's on the second to top floor but I'm not sure). The interiors are typical aLoft design. The pool looked nice, but the pool bar was not open yet.

Nice pictures.  Could the pool bar just be closed for the winter?  Disappointing that it isn't up to the same standard as other alofts
