Nate99
The lobby has mattresses stacked up everywhere ad they have started putting up interior sineage and other stuff. Have they announced an opening date? I could see a soft opening within a month.

bobruss
It sounds like they're right on schedule. Its amazing how much they can get done in crunch time. They bring in a thousand workers and overwhelm the interiors.

With a tech-savvy mandate, the new hotel will have systems like keyless doors that can be opened with a swipe of a smart phone. Aloft even has its own special language. Guests will hear "lift" instead of elevator, "WC" instead of restroom and "tactic" instead of conference room from its employees or, rather, its "talent." The property's 168 rooms will have weekday rates of between $249 and $269 and between $149 and $169 on the weekends.
monarch
^^^ @Urbannizer outstanding work as always urb! i was really wondering about the exterior details of this structure. however, the first photo shows a cleaned and shining exterior. maybe it was power washed.... who knows? the front entry seems beautiful from what we can see. the third illustration's hotel room is beautiful... wow! this is going to become one happening little hotel that downtown desperately needed.....

monarch
^^^ very nice pool ambiance. however, they REALLY need to include more trees / potted plants and foliage. the place just look's so devoid of plant life. very dry / hot desert looking. also, PROPS to all of the generous HAIF photographers for your great work in keeping us in the loop on this wonderful downtown development.
rechlin
Just about done! After they arranged all the patio furniture for the photoshoot shown above, they moved everything aside again to wash the whole deck, and today they positioned all the furniture again! Majore12
Why does that decor look like something straight out of the '60's? I would have to walk into that building to get a good sense of whether that works or not.
102IAHexpress
Wife and I stayed here over the weekend. It was okay. nothing special. But for the price, I can't complain too much. But compared to other aLoft's I've stayed at i'm not that impressed. There is no signage inside the property. As a guest you have no idea where anything is. Every SPG hotel I've stayed at, includes a booklet or binder inside the room about the property describing amenities, area attractions, etc, except this one. The elevators have not been updated either, so as a guest you wouldn't know which button to push for the gym for example (I heard it's on the second to top floor but I'm not sure). The interiors are typical aLoft design. The pool looked nice, but the pool bar was not open yet.
cspwal
Nice pictures. Could the pool bar just be closed for the winter? Disappointing that it isn't up to the same standard as other alofts
