Killen's BBQ finally open

Oh, OK, I thought you had been to the actual restaurant since it had opened. If you went in July that would have been to one of the pop-ups Killen was doing periodically while he was getting working on getting the restaurant up and running.

 

I'm definitely planning to head down to Pearland to check it out, but given the amount of advance buzz it's gotten I'd expect the wait to be pretty stout.

One hour and ten minutes about three Saturdays ago.   Expect them to be sold out by mid-afternoon on weekends.   Transcendent beef and sausage, choice of three sauces.  Certainly reminiscent of meat I've had in black-owned establishments. (but also some in central Texas, also)
