Katherine Feser of the Houston Chronicle reported that Pinstripes, which features Italian and American cuisine along with bowling and bocce, is the first to join the Kirby Collection (3200 Kirby) in River Oaks and plans to open by late 2017. According to the Kirby Collection website, the space is described as a “vertical mixed-use development” that will be home to “the ultimate live-work-play community that meets 21st century demands and elevates the standard of urban living in Houston.” Keep an eye out for more announcements of trendy restaurant and bar tenants in the 61,600 square foot retail portion on this space.

I hate that Bed Bath and Beyond. it's so claustrophobic and crowded, I feel like items are going to fall on me. Hope they tear it down and build a mixed use, with a brand new BB&B of course

Man, I agree.  There is just so much stuff that a retailer can cram into a store before it looks and feels like heck.  BB&B crossed that line years ago and I do everything in my power not to shop there.  Micheal's is another example.  Macy's isn't far behind.

Developers of The Kirby Collection, a 1 million-square-foot luxury mixed-use project underway at 3200 Kirby Drive, announced on Nov. 21 the property's office tower has topped out.

The Kirby Collection is on schedule for a fourth quarter 2017 delivery.

A couple of new renderings in the article too.

Nice! I didn't have my crappy phone with me but it looks really nice.

My only worry is for the people living on Lake St. Will the garage be blank? I don't think I've ever seen a rendering for the backside. A view of a concrete parking garage would suck.

Best image I could find. The townhomes in Kirby Collection will face Lake St.

What is the development in front of Hine's residential tower on the far right?

Specifically it's the new Glassel school and the Lake Flato  designed conservation addition thats being built on top of the garage.

Today there is a huge crane on Kirby.  I think it is for to crown on top of the building.

Why would they bring a separate crane in for the crown when they already have a tower crane..? Me thinks it's to dismantle the office tower crane?
