We're in the midst of a real estate boom and they still can't get this one started. Bet you Hines starts first on their even taller luxury residential tower.

my bet is we will see this, Hines, and potentially a couple more (Marquette / Camden 2 / fairfield on main / ?) happen all around the same time... second wave!

Hope you are right Avossos.  If my memory is correct, I believe Trammel Crow backed out of  previous high rise near the ballpark several years ago.  Hope this is not a repeat.

And these appear to be even taller than the first wave.

This thing's gonna end up being a Mattress Firm when it's all said and done.

Don't even put that out into the universe

So we are quickly approaching 3Q 2019....

When do the credits expire? End of the year? Anyone know how many approved projects have not yet proceeded?

I vote for a glut of food halls next, eating is good

DEI - Downtown Eating Initiative

Tax credit for new food halls, but they must have ground floor access to the street, and must support a cheap taco stand somewhere in the city

Maybe this project is dead? Or hopefully just delayed again?

Well the ghost of Regent Square came back so I guess anything is possible now.

What a tease it was when they were spray painting dimensions all over the parking lot.

Would be nice if they could go back to the drawing board and share parking with that nearby parking garage. I walked that building line that they spray painted and its needlessly tight. Plus it was asking to overtake ROW. Off load the parking and make the people who will live here pay a premium for it. If they want to live right next to Discovery Green in Downtown, I think thats a worthy price to pay.

I'm sure the Marriott won't mind if this project is shelved...they won't lose their pool deck skyline view.

But did he have a source other than the Downtown Development Map?

Inside source, you asked him this as well in the same thread lol

I trust his source, he leaked renderings of Hanover BLVD Place for us.

This isn't a huge update, but thought it was worth posting. I recently heard from a source that TC fully intends to break ground on Block 98 and is getting close.  I also heard that, while in the early stages, TC is working on another highrise MF in downtown Houston.  The location is unknown.  Does anyone else have any comment on this?

Any comment? This is the first update I'm actually glad to see in this thread in a while.

Bring on the MF high rises in the city core. I think my excitement level is the highest when I see our core becoming dense, especially with quality high rises.

Not a concrete update but this still sounds like a go, 4Q 2019.  My contact said they have a PM assigned to it now so that typically means go time is in the not too distant future.

Good to hear, if they close the parking lot, I'll post up.

I'll believe it when I see it. If you look back through the tread you can see that this was going to start construction in 2015...

If 2022 is the case they better had broken ground yesterday. That seems really aggressive. Then again, they built the Empire State Building (102 stories) in 1 year so what do I know.

I won't believe it until ground is broken. Too many times Lucy has pulled the football from Charlie Brown on this project.

Very true, but this does seem like more detailed information directly from the developer than what we have seen before.

Haha sorry I don't have all the answers! No official updates and the response given to me earlier today was they were still finalizing the building systems but I'm not sure when that might have been communicated to my source.  I think we're getting close though.

Ha! Yup, you're right. Think Arejay saw 42-story and 42-block, and his mind triggered that they are one in the same. :)

Houston should have the tallest residential tower in Texas and not Austin?  Can we got a 60 story residential tower?
