cspwal
Did they only pour half a mat? The top picture looks like solid concrete, but the bottom two don't have any sign of concrete (the mat I mean)
cloud713
Maybe only the tower side gets a mat?
BigFootsSocks
I assume they'll wait until they've reached a high enough point on the tower to where that and the lower block top off at the same time
cspwal
*googles* oh I forgot what it looked like. For some reason I thought the tower portion took up the whole block(the website with the renders if anyone else forgot http://zieglercooper.com/block-52/ )

astros148
is this going really slow or is it just me?
houstontexasjack
Compared to Skyhouse and the Market Square Tower, it seems as though every thing else moves slow.

bobruss
After sitting in my backyard watching up close the construction of the Menil drawing center I have been able to see all of the things that take so long to get a building out of the ground. The amount of time to just put all of the rebar together for the structural elements that go into the columns and walls of these buildings. It takes them quite a while to tie all of that rebar together. They are just starting to take the forms off of the first wall in the basement and its taken probably three weeks of tying rebar together, just to build this one wall. Concrete wok is labor intensive.
