por favor gracias
The view from the ramp coming onto 45 North from 288 today was incredible. There may be 25 visible cranes or more from that spot right now.

DrLan34
The team has also restored the surrounding buildings from the turn of the century, and next up it's restoring 3617 Main across the street—the building was the original location of the Alley Theatre.https://www.bisnow.com/houston/news/multifamily/montrose-still-has-a-huge-pipeline-45952
Howard Huge
Does anyone know whats to become of the Antique store across the street? Is that place even open?? I never see anyone in there, ever. Those storefronts are prime retail space though, when Mid Main is complete and all the retail moves in this area could be amazing if you had retail on BOTH sides of Main street and not just the Natachees/Continental Club side.
phillip_white
A few of the storefronts are remodeled, but I think the owners have put all of their focus on building Mid Main. I would imagine there will be a lot of interest in those vacant units once the behemoth completes. Perhaps they're just holding off before signing leases so they can lock in as much rent as possible? I could be wrong though... maybe there's a ghost that needs extracting.Does anyone know whats to become of the Antique store across the street? Is that place even open?? j_cuevas713
The antique shops were open today. We went to eat a Taco's A Go Go for lunch and I saw a couple people walk out.

cspwal
That's different - will it have a longer lifespan than the wood? Or is it just a choice?
Avossos
That's different - will it have a longer lifespan than the wood? Or is it just a choice?I take it as they are investing in a higher quality structure.
j_cuevas713
That's why I don't think the new residential on Leeland is meant to stay longer than 15 to 20 yrs. Metal almost always means a long term investment.
cspwal
I'm not sure that the owners of block 334 are looking further than the exact number of months that the rent will pay off the note.
jmitch94
I'm not sure that the owners of block 334 are looking further than the exact number of months that the rent will pay off the note. Why would they go through all the trouble of building the complex just to break even?
cspwal
Good point. Still don't think they are concerned with its longevity though - just that it makes them a good ROI
