CREguy13
Although that is ROCC straight ahead and not Memorial Park, this picture reminds me how important of an asset the park is to this city. To have this large of a public greenspace in the heart of the town is pretty awesome. I'm excited to see all of the bordering areas continue to develop over the years and make MP even more desirable. Twinsanity02
Looking at the photo again, imagine if the old downtown post office site there rose a few high rises. That would expand the skyline considerably from these angles.

Twinsanity02
Think I see the 609 popping up to the right of the Chase building. By next autumn the Aris will add it's contribution to the skyline. It is looking great.

79ta
The light color facade actually goes well with the parking garage. These are amazing pictures, but this building is even more impressive in person. Thanks for sharing guys!
Popular Post enriquewx91
Image shared by ABC13 Meteorologist Travis Herzog today. Quite an impact MST is having on the skyline already. You can also see the cranes from 609 Main starting to peak out this view will be great in a few months.
Twinsanity02
Thanks for sharing enriquewx91. I think the Skyhouse main street #2 and the cranes for the 609 are visible. Soon the Aris will come into view. Love this stuff.

kbates2
If this place gets the little grocery store in the bottom that they were pursuing, it will be fantastic. I saw that they were putting up scaffolding among the southwest side of the garage the other day.

These are amazing pictures, but this building is even more impressive in person. Thanks for sharing guys! They certainly did a good job of matching the parking garage. Not sure it was the best downtown building to emulate but, it's something.

Triton
The historic board trying to get it down but it seems auto direct found a loop hole..that probably going to make this a battle. .I hate companys like auto direct...they know the area is trying to do something, but instead only give a damn about themselves I used to work for the company for quite a while and I know the co-owners incredibly well. Dined with them just the other week. I don't actually think they know the area and simply saw an opportunity... and more likely, the marketing wing with Clearchannel saw an opportunity. They knew it would be a one time gig and it truly is perfect publicity since a lot of news outlets are covering it, whether it be negative or positive is up to the viewer. I keep hearing people say they hate this company after this story but I highly doubt anyone who says that has even tried buying a car there.
Moore713
Fair enough if ypu say ypu know the people personally and they may have misread the vibe..but it smacks of the 90,s when downtown houston had a bunch of off put one and done shops
cspwal
I actually kind of like it, as it gives a little bit of a modern feel to the big "Home of Easy Credit" ad on Clark's. It's only visible there, and a lively downtown needs a little bit of tackiness for people to complain about. Way better than just a giant blank wall of a parking garage.
