'Stonian
Love the green myself.., I've grown tired of every building around town being some shade of beige.
BigFootsSocks
Sorry man, I honestly hate it. Urbannizer
Looks nice to me and from the rendering - the green is not used very much, but if majority of the building was that tone of green I wouldn't be too excited for the final outcome. Montrose1100
Sorry man, I honestly hate it. They could've done something really nice (brick or stone) on this corner but nope, this s*** is weakThere are some excuses for this color. If it's Russia, the Victorian house calls for it in the color palette, or it's close to a natural body of water with an equally vibrate blue color. BigFootsSocks
Wait, I'm on mobile so this epics aren't that big, but is that just the underlining insulation board or whatever that I see so much of? That would explain my hatred.

gene
Oh my god that green! This isn't a hot take; that color is just the worst. haha that is the exact color of the pops of color in my otherwise dark gray apartment (accent pillows, chair, candles etc) haha!!! doh! WestUdweller
Wow, freaking awesome pictures. Both the Elan project and the Pearl Project are huge. They look ugly as sin right now up close but hopefully they'll get the color schemes sorted out. Sure wish both of them had gone with brick.

AREJAY
Do we know what that rooftop terrace / floor on top of the parking garage, facing downtown, is going to be?I looked through the renders and couldn't see it drawn up anywhere. This would be cool if it's going to be a bar / restaurant.

Gargantuan is a great word to describe this. I frequently ride the 85 bus past this and it is certainly an imposing structure compared to the surrounding buildings in the area.

hindesky
Any word on the ground floor retail? A while back there was talk of a Trader Joes.I saw no signs indicating what GFR was going in but most Trader Joe's have small square footage and their seems to be enough room for one. WestUdweller
Work has been slow at this one. Sure hope there is a grocer going. Lot's of rumblings in the past couple of years anyways. Might be the ugliest new apartment complex anywhere across town. Brown paint and hardiplank. Elan/Greystar/whatever should be ashamed.

arisegundo
Regarding the second phase at Westcott and Arnot: What's left of Memorial Club is still being leased by Greystar, and the lady in the office told me on Saturday (3/5) that the complex will be around at least through the end of '17.

That roundabout is very cool - needs a refresher. I do really like how the 4 neighborhoods come together there. Hopefully this building has a good presence. It needs to be able to age gracefully.
