trymahjong
Where is the Montrose Management district in all this? The Montrose TIRZ always posts about being able to "build" but not "maintain" The MMD always made a big deal about it being able to maintain the projects it wanted built. trymahjong
You are correct but it was revived in 2021- I think........ For the most part the same ole same ole - I heard a presentation from them on Neartown zoom. I think I posted somewhere that I couldn't understand why MMD was so cagey about who the president was. HoustonBoy
I'm no longer in Houston, are the lights maintained or are they still lit up in patches? Looked semi broken last time I saw them. Does anyone happen to have recent pics?

hindesky
"Houston officials voted Wednesday to repair the iconic Montrose bridge lights over the Southwest Freeway. The lights over the six bridges were installed in 2017 by the Montrose Management District before the city hosted Super Bowl LI but have been deemed faulty over the past few months. District G Mary Nan Huffman was the lone vote against the measure. But repairs were supported by the other 15 council members and Mayor Sylvester Turner." https://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/houston-repair-montrose-bridge-lights-18378825.php

FWIW, the design team having been selected does not necessarily mean they are under contract. The first period of time may be spent getting contracts. Only then could the design work start...

rechlin
If they rebuild it too early, it will already be broken again by the 2026 World Cup, so there's no way they can start the repairs now.
