There have been serious talks about a mural. Got a chance a few months ago to meet the guy who did the "Creation of Adam" mural. He was lunching with the architect, so it seemed serious. I certainly hope they do something.

HoustonIsHome
The genius of this building is that in market square it fits in with what you see which is the smaller buildings. A couple blocks away what you see are the newer taller buildings which it fits in with as well. I am hoping that wall does not remain blank. I was kind of partial to the original mural as it fit in perfectly with the market theme.
adr
Quick poll - while I usually describe this building as "Frank's Pizza Tower", sometimes I use the actual name, Aris. So - my question is, how do you pronounce this? 1. "Heiress" 2. "Arise"

amashgo
I don't think they know. I've heard people from Hines call it both ways. I *think* it's like heiress because I've heard that more often.

Nole23
Awesome. I remember when Aris, Market Square Tower, and The Catalyst high rises were just parking lots. I can't wait until they're complete and leased up.

And I can remember when discovery green, minutemaid, Vic and anthonys's /hotel, Toyota center, Hess, Hampton Inn, embassy suites, Hilton, greenstreet?, and sections of the GRB where "parking lots" too. we should revel in the accomplishment while we keep touting for more.
bobruss
I can remember riding the train from Union station to Ohio and everything was buildings and hotels and small businesses, before the Texas Eastern project was proposed, There wasn't a freeway on the east side either. Then they decided it would be easier to develop if everything was just vacant lots, unfortunately.

H-Town Man
Is that beige brick on the upper floors, or some other material like EIFS? Wasn't this supposed to have red brick at some point? Would be good to have a little more contrast with all the other skin-colored buildings.

I thought it was all going to be the color of the brick at the base of the building myself. I'm willing to see what the final product is before judging it, but I really do like the color of the brick at the base.
