That is a very effective way of dealing with trolls. There is nothing worse than someone who lives to make someone else's life miserable. It's absolutely appalling just how badly some people will treat others just to make themselves feel better about their miserable lives.

I guess that's something that we're going to have to deal with for a long time to come. People think they can just behave any way they like especially when they are hiding behind the anonymity of online chatrooms and social media.

I totally agree with you, Sdamus but I also think that fighting back when dealing with such people is futile. It only encourages them to go further with their vile behavior. The best way is always to withdraw from such situations rather than engage them.
