lockmat
Driving inbound on 59 north this morning, it's apparent that the crown will allow it to stick out just above 95% of the other tall buildings downtown, along with its front row seat on the north side to allow it to stick out like a sore thumb. At least from this side of town.

urbanize713
Coming in on I-45 from the east/southeast the taller crane is starting to give the JPMorgan Chase tower a run for its money. One more jump and I think it would be just as tall. Anyone know how to look up the crane heights? I'm sure that has to be registered with FAA somewhere

Popular Post rechlin
I just noticed there is no rebar poking out of the top of the rightmost column, so they must have poured their last complete floor. Subsequent floors appear to be getting smaller, so they are now working on the pinnacle! From this diagram previously posted here a few years ago, I'd guess they are preparing floor 48 or 49 now:
KinkaidAlum
I'm starting to feel greedy. I want to approach Hines and propose adding 5 more floors on top for my personal residence simply because the cranes are appearing in views that have long only highlighted the Allied Bank and Texas Commerce Towers. I've spotted those beautiful "birds" around a bend at Memorial Park, from Rice's Intramural fields, and even from as far away as the trails near Meyerland. I'd love for this thing to be in the 850-900 foot range. She's a beauty.

bobruss
So if I'm reading the detail of the roof and elevation drawing correctly it will be approx. 100 feet taller than the top of that right column in Rechlin's great photos.

enriquewx91
When people here in Michigan brag about how historic Detroit and all it's buildings are (which is the only thing worth bragging about), I will put this photo above and say hey we got historic buildings too!!
