^^^ urbannizer, those new illustrations are simply unbelievable!  they are rich in detail and gorgeous.  however, many of us were under the impression that MMP was restructuring their in-park signage to create a better aesthetic or overall downtown view for their patronage.  why is there a new GIGANTIC OXY sign???  isn't this a bit strange....

Office demand is undeniably decreasing—and will do so more over the next six to nine months as energy M&A and bankruptcies pick up, Bruce says—but leasing hasn’t entirely stopped. Chip says oil companies are on the sidelines, but 50% of Houston’s tenants are non-energy, and they’re on the market looking for better deals. There’s a lot of law firm activity in particular, especially in high-profile Downtown locations. He inked one at 609 Main at Texas recently and says that building is getting strong interest overall. He’s got 500k SF of proposals, all non-energy related. Chip thinks 2016 will be pretty flat (a good time to build relationships for the next cycle, he says), but so far he isn’t seeing rents dip.

It only has 15 more floors plus crown? About another 180 feet?

That's still quite a bit of height. This is the biggest skyscraper since Heritage Plaza. "Only 15 floors" is still a long ways to go and will be magnified the higher up it gets.

c/o Michi on SSP:

with all due respect, you posted these backwards, should have gone from full landscape, to full zoom, but with 'enhance' between each.

anyway, it's coming together pretty well. the construction is right outside my boss' window, I'm distracted by it every time I go in there, and I'm unsure how he gets anything accomplished. I'll sneak in there one day when he's out and take a shot of it.
