That guy is lucky to be alive. Falls are one of the most common sources of fatalities at the construction workplace. OSHA regulations call for the requirement of Fall protection if the worker is at 6 ft (in construction) elevation above the local walking surface. At 15-20 ft, the distribution of fatal falls is quite high.

What happens if no one leases any of this space? Is it costly enough to endanger Hines? Isn't it at zero right now?

I doubt it but what do I know? Hines wouldn't make a business decision that could take them under. This should be ready when we are on the rebound

1.Downtown houston is a beast. Vacancy is always low.

2. Dt Houston is on an upswing for residential for the 1st time in 80 years. I think the draw of suburban campuses (jobs where the people want to live) will also apply to downtown.

3. This building is new, flashy and in a prime location downtown.

this building will not be a burden for Hines at all.
