SENIOR LIVING: A joint venture of Bridgewood Property Co. and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital has started construction of The Village of Meyerland senior living community. The project at 4141 N. Braeswood near Stella Link will be a rental facility of 95 assisted living and 25 memory care units. The 110,000-square-foot facility will serve the Bellaire, Meyerland and Braes Heights communities. Financing was provided by Mutual of Omaha. Three Architecture designed the project, with interior design by Donna Guerra & Associates. The general contractor is Construction Supervisors. Founded by James D. Gray, Bridgewood Property Co. has developed 14 senior living communities. The Meyerland project will be its third in Houston, including The Village of Tanglewood and The Village at The Woodlands Waterway, which will open next month.

I was always amazed that The Rutledge (as well as the other apts. around it) stood so unchanged, for so long. I always admired the design, brickwork and all...what's your guess as to the lava rock facing, was it a fountain or a planter, originally?

The home designs in that area are unbelievable, my favs sit just north of the bayou.
