The Tower of Real Texas

This tower is the third tallest skyscraper in America. It is the tallest on the west of the Mississippi River. This tower is 1305 feet high rise above sea level. This tower will get more of attention throughout the downtown area. This tower has two 70 feet antennas on top that make this tower over 1380 feet tall.

Cool.

As it seems i have been corrected several times regarding height restrictions. And i must admit, i am going by some of the 80's protocol- i.e. the never built Bank of Southwest Tower, etc. i honestly remember reading about height restrictions around downtown, but you know how the memory is. Anyway, i would love to see a tower of that height in Houston. I mean, come on! We are #4 in population and steadily growing. LA is not really known for its "towers", so that really only leaves Chicago and NY- Of course Vegas and the Lower Florida area are getting nods from developers.

A question- why that location? I don't mean down town per se, i mean why in that specific location DT? Why not more towards the middle to keep it symetrical

(skyline wise)? Any thoughts?

m.
