Highway 99 And Westpark Tollway

Does anyone know what is being built on the NE corner of 99 and Westpark tollway - I think this area used to be called Grand Corner.

I have been wondering the same thing for quite awhile. My friend claims it's going to be a mosque, but I really don't think so. I drive by it often, but I have yet to see any signs saying what it's going to be, only the construction company signs. They are building a fence around it, for what it's worth.

I may be wrong, but I thought I remember hearing that it was some kind of Fort Bend County facility.

The more interesting thing that I have found out about the Harmony schools is that they are supposedly Gulen charter schools.

That's an interesting article in the Times. I drove by a few weeks ago wondering what was being built and noticed the extra security (fencing, off duty police standing guard) and thought they were just really worried about scrap metal thieves. Perhaps they are concerned about someone getting the impression that a SCARY ISLAMIC MADRASSA is being built in Katy. Which it isn't. Read the article.
