Galveston had a building like the one above. It was located on the seawall in a landscaped area next to the entry drive to the Flagship Hotel/pleasure pier. It was white in color and was there during the 1970's to about 1980. It was used as a radio station remote broadcast facility. I believe it was KULF 790 AM. There was another one along the beach in Surfside. It was much larger than the one at the Flagship. Both had the center pedestal however. I have seen a postcard of the Flagship where the radio building is visible.
