sevfiv
On the way home the other day I passed by a heap of rubble on South MacGregor between Cullen and Calhoun (street number 4334 from checking the permits later). The trees prevent good images from Google streetview or MSN bird's eye view - does anyone know anything about this house (or maybe even have a picture)? http://maps.google.com/maps?q=29.710481,-95.34568&num=1&sll=29.712764,-95.371356&sspn=0.006295,0.006295&ie=UTF8&ll=29.709432,-95.345557&spn=0.013996,0.01929&z=

The house was in much disrepair before Ike and suffered damaged during Ike. From what I hear, it was amazing that people actually lived in it in as bad of a condition that it was in. They finally sold it, and I think Mayberry homes is going to build something on the lot.
NenaE
I remember that house and property, from my drives down that street...but can't find anything out about it. I've tried. After checking it out on GoogleEarth, I've concluded that it must have had a talented architect. Sad to know it sat and deteriorated. I can only imagine how costly it is to maintain such large homes. I've seen many houses in the area get taken under the wing of the next generation after the previous owner takes ill or dies and simply become uncared for.
