Waterfall photos

Recommended Posts

These are photos from Snoqualmie Falls, in Snoqualmie, Washington about eight miles from my house. This was one of the places where Twin Peaks was filmed. The lodge overlooking the falls was the Great Northern Hotel in the TV show.

Behind and underneath the falls is a Puget Sound Energy hydroelectric plant. It's been making electricity since the 1800's. The construction equipment you see if part of a rehabilitation of the original power generating equipment, buried several hundred feet into the solid rock.

The Waterwall on Post Oak is as close as we come in Houston to a waterfall.

Can't compare with the real thing. The area surrounding the southern end of the Finger Lakes in spring is a sight to behold.
