bruce_oneal
there is a list called free wireless access points/houston. but i was wondering if there are other places (restaurants, coffee houses, etc.) that you know of.i am particularly interested in places that have odd (late) hours as sometimes i get the inspiration to work and have a bite to eat in the wee morning hours.chachos and starbucks --both on westheimer-- have hours like that, but i sometimes get sick of the crowds at chachos and the snootiness of starbucks.ideas? groovehouse
I've used free wi-fi at Kaveh Kanes downtown. KPFT also has a wi-fi hot spot, I bet you could park in front of their building in the Montrose and pick up a signal.edit: OMG that link above is awesome! ssullivan
I use Kaveh Kanes probably more than any other in the city. It's not usually too crowded, and the leather sofas are quite comfortable. And there's easy access to MetroRail just a couple of blocks up Main.I know a lot of people who go to the Hollywood Cafe in Montrose, but the atmosphere of the place I find rather stale and uninviting. Subdude
Diedrich's Coffee has free wifi. As an extra added bonus, they don't play loud obnoxious background music like Starbucks.
