Hello all,

I am a Nashville residence considering a move to attend the Univ. of Houston for grad school. I will be going for my masters in architecture. I have a few questions concerning the university and areas to live in that are convenient and safe. I have a wife and three kids (1 who only stays in summer). I may rent a house the first year of grad school, but purchase when I find out more about the city. I can spend up to 900-1000 for rents. Will that be enough to get a safe area for my wife and kids to be while I am laboring in a design studio?

1. Does anyone know about the architectural program at UH?

2. Does the school have a good reputation?

3. What areas are best for a family that are convenient to UH?
