missmsry
The Taylors should be ashamed to tear down that lovely house. It will probably be replaced with a Tuscan Fauxdobe.
Highway6
It's a waste, sure... but if they can afford $2.5 mil for a piece of land, i think they have the right to do with it whatever the hell they please. And while I know its publicly accessible information, its not advertised... unlike Swamplot, I think it's pretty wrong for you to throw their names to the wolves. jgriff
It is a beautiful house. If I had a very large budget though I think I could build a better one. I'd reserve judgment on these people until we see what they replace it with. I know the chances are not good but maybe they'll hire a good architect and give him a chance to build something great. sevfiv
Throw their names to the wolves? lolOf course they have every right to do what they want to whatever they buy (within local restrictions) - that's not argued. It's just a waste of a house, that's all.
Highway6
Throw their names to the wolves? lolThese parts of Haif are filled with wolves....If I find out in the next week they got their lawn tp'd ... we'll know who to blame.
barracuda
That looks like a pretty cool place from the last sale photos. But I'm sure the owners will be happier with the Tuscan Fauxdobe look . http://www.har.com/HomeValue/dispSoldDetail.cfm?MLNUM=7633126# 3,266 sqft building 17,775 sqft lot built in 1940
marmer
Don't need a name to TP a house. Just an address. Maybe we could TP the backhoe and dragline that do the dirty deed. Seriously. Tearing that down is absolutely obscene. Even if it is not illegal, there is zero justification for that much waste and destruction.
NenaE
Which neighborhood does this one sit in? I'm too lazy today to look it up, anyone know, offhand? I wonder who the architect was, anyone we've heard of? That would make it even more painful.Wow, what an beautiful entrance archway. Loooking at this one hurts. sevfiv
It's River Oaks, one block south of San Felipe just west of Claremont/Buffalo Speedway.
NenaE
Reminds me of the homes that sit in that small alcove of a neighborhood next to Brays Bayou, in the Med Center. Probably built in the same time period.
sevfiv
I was hoping to make it before the deed was done...they work fast!
