Boris
Visited the Da'wa Center to see the Sultan of Science Exhibition. It was pretty cool. He're some photos of the center; couldn't get any shots of the exhibits: http://www.islamicdawahcenter.org/ http://www.islamicdawahcenter.org/html/history.html http://www.islamicdawahcenter.org/html/SoS.html Adios ...
laanba
Wow, that's beautiful inside. Is photography normally allowed inside? I would love to photograph that.
Boris
The guys that were at the front when I got there allowed me to take photos. But, when I left there was a different guy there, and he said I wasn't suppose to take photos. I thought he was going to make me delete all the photos. So, I guess it just depends on who's manning the ship. editor
Nice pictures. I wonder how much of that ceiling is from back when it was a bank and how much is new. For example, I don't think I've ever seen boat anchors in Islamic art before. But, when I left there was a different guy there, and he said I wasn't suppose to take photos. I thought he was going to make me delete all the photos. So, I guess it just depends on who's manning the ship. When in a situation like that, head for the street. Once you're off their property they can't touch you (strictly speaking, they can't touch you anyway -- that's battery). If they demand to see or delete your photos, tell them to get a subpoena and send it to your lawyer. Security guards take themselves too seriously.
