Man, if we built that huge dome over the city, it would fog up in a hurry.

Ike pushed us over the top...no electricity, nothing open and nothing else to do...

Funny you said that... I was listening to the radio the other morning coming home from work and they were talking about how there has been a surge in births across Houston... 9 months after Ike.

Oo... just found one article about it...

Ike Baby Boom

#1 when it comes to sex... definitely something to be proud of... go Houston!! :D

Most cities fell in the 70-80 times a year range, he said. New York was 80 times a year, he added, "and I thought that was high."

It could mean that Houstonians brag 25% more than other cities. I mean, come on, TheNiche bragged that all his girlfriends are hotter than Mia Gradney! What's to keep him from logging onto a condom site and stating that he knocks it off twice a week? :o

It's so hot now, it's too much of a hassle to go out! Everyone's staying home in the AC and stocking up on ice, drinks, and uh, provisions. Right??

Citing me doesn't really further your point. I readily sacrifice coital quantity for the pursuit of quality relationships with quality women. As crunch's grandfather used to say, "Never make the mistake of planting a $50 tree in a $10 hole."

This is an attitude that is clearly atypical among my peer group, but at least I have the class not to snipe at my peers because they have lower standards than mine; different people have different preferences, and I don't begrudge them their happiness, however they may achieve it.

I'm not the least bit uncomfortable discussing my preferences publicly, but I don't think that this thread would last very long if we continued on with this tangent. I extended an invitation to discuss these issues by PM if you're really that fascinated by them that you can't stop bringing them up, and the invitation still stands. But if you're just sniping, then ____ off, troll.

Bitter, bitter, bitter....

In the old days, a playful shot taken at The Niche would be met with a witty retort, chock full of little used words that forced the less educated posters to run for the dictionary, or simply scratch their heads in awe. Nowadays, it is more akin to a pity party that others are taunting him. I miss the old Niche, but rather than dawdle over the spilled )and apparently sour) milk, I shall simply move on to another less sensitive target. The end of an era. :(

Old Niche, we hardly knew ye.

Just saw your post count. Did I miss "RedScare Day?"

Stay thirsty, my friend.

Can we keep it on topic (such as it were)? Personal discussions between posters can be held via PM.

Thanks

To: Houston

From: Dallas

Because, what ELSE is there to do in Houston?

http://blogs.dallaso...is_there_to.php

Take that!

The comments are hilarious:

religion of bacon says: Houston survey respondents also reported an average penis length of 11.7 inches, compared to only 10.3 inches for Dallas.

august948 says: Dallas would have won first place but they don't count screwing cows...sorry.

Bend over Dallas...we'll show you how it's done.

The comments are hilarious:

 HAHA!!!! 11 average? Yeah right! I guess I've only seen "average" once in a blue moon.

I love this comment on the article;

Miss X says:

"San Francisco is allegedly just sixty times a year."

Have you been to San Francisco lately? It's not just the architecture that's Victorian. Whoa, uptight. I blame the Gays.

Sounds like someone is personally falling below the city's purported average. Time to see the doc for a script, old man?

I thought some of you guys might find this hilarious or interesting. I just recently discovered this old article on Time Magazine about Houston taking over the San Fernando Valley's title of America's Pornography Capital.

A Boomtown for Pornography

Frank Trippett, Time Magazine

April 18, 2005

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/ar...878&xid=Loomia

In the every-man-for-himself tradition that has made the Texas brand of individualism legendary, Houston has always shied away from the idea of zoning. It refused to govern growth even during the years when the town was lunging and sprawling its way to becoming the nation's fourth-largest city (pop. 1,726,000). Now Houstonians are beginning to notice that big corporations and the builders of futuristic skyscrapers have not been the only beneficiaries of the unregulated boom. Their town has become a leading contender for a little coveted title: America's Pornography Capital ...

I wonder how Los Angeles and California feels now that even the adult entertainment industry is leaving.

Oh Well I guess H-Town is now putting the word dirty in Dirty Southtongue.gif

Since it is after November 5, did anyone catch whether Kathy beat Louie Welch?

I note that the population was stated to be 1,726,000...a decidedly 1985 figure.
