Federal funds could be used to improve foreclosed Champions homes

Qualified home buyers can take advantage of a county run program to buy foreclosed homes at a discount in specific areas of Harris County.

In an effort to help preserve home values in Champions neighborhoods, Harris County will use federal money to buy vacant and foreclosed homes and resell them to people of modest means.

There are only a handful of nice neighborhoods in that zip. Greenwood Forest is the only one that comes to mind (and one of the only ones that can be considered "Champions".

The rest is trash extending all the way to the Beltway.

I'm sure all the hard working people who live in those other neighborhoods that can't afford Greenwood Forest appreciate what you think of their neighborhoods.
