flipper Posted June 17, 2009 Share Posted June 17, 2009 My wife said there were 15-20 police cruisers on main and on the running path in front of Rice @ 3pm today. Apparently a car chase ended there with a Rice Police cruiser smacked into a tree. Lots of honking so they must be extra cranky..The news helicopters hovering above campus around 3:15 this afternoon were following a police chase down South Main Street. The suspect's car hit a car driven by an off-duty Rice police officer at Entrance 3. Houston police arrested the suspect. The Rice officer, Henry Cash, and his passengers escaped serious injuries.
