Phillips Bar & Restaurant (on Cherokee St.)

I just checked out online this place I used to frequent in the early 70s. I was surprised it was still around, but then businesses in New Orleans generally do survive longer unless wiped out by Katrina.

It appears from the web description that the place has changed its ambience drastically. It is a trendy bar and restaurant. I recall it as neighborhood restaurant with good Italian fare---pizza in particular! I don't remember the bar. It probably had one. Its appeal was the food not the drinks back then.
