Anyone going to participate in the regatta this year? We're not going to be in the water but were planning on checking out the finish line festivities. Has anyone done it before? Is it a good time, worth checking out?

No. Two hours isn't long enough for any kind of human-powered boat race to be satisfying. It's not even worth hauling out the boat.

Well, the contestants on The Great Houston Raise show (Ch. 11) sure were winded after only going from Brenner's to the Aquarium. But then again, they weren't all studly like TheNiche.

I came in 3rd in the Boy Scout entries\division of the 1979 Buffalo Bayou Regatta. I enjoyed it. The city, particularly the view of it from the bayou, sure has changed since then.
