Dan Rockhill has been a part of several high-profile projects and gained international acclaim through his work with Studio 804 and Rockhill and Associates (http://www.rockhillandassociates.com/; http://www.studio804.com/). Through the studio, Rockhill and his students have designed and built environmentally responsible buildings using sustainable practices. Last year, the team designed and constructed an arts center in Greensburg, the community that was nearly destroyed by a tornado. The studio has also designed and built homes in low-income neighborhoods in Kansas City, Kan. Rockhill and Associates is the partnership between Rockhill and Lawrence architect David Sain. The firm is widely respected for its work on projects that promote progressive design, environmental sustainability and historic preservation. This is a free event.
