It was built for a rice farmer and his family in the late 40's/early 50's. It's one of his few known "contemporary country" houses that's has two stories. It's like a time machine; seems like little has changed since it was first built. The house next door was also a Vale house in the contemporary country vein. Its owned by a preservationist that has done alot of work to save some of Katy's older buildings. Her house was built for the owner of 602's brother. Great deal for such a big house. There is definitely some interesting furniture in the house, some good and some bad. I wish they would have opened the windows and let in some light for the pictures.
