There's an interesting new skyscraper in Nagoya. I don't care for the lettering on it, but otherwise it's really interesting and beautiful. There are also some pics from around the front of Nagoya Station and around Nagoya Castle, and a couple in Sakae.

The new skyscraper is called the Mode Gakuen Spiral Towers.

Woo hoo! Family Mart! That's where my wife wouldn't let me buy the Hello Kitty-branded maxi pads.

Funny that that skyscraper is called Gakuen, since it looks so much like London's "Gherkin."

what are the stone structures we're looking at in two of the last three pictures? are they old city walls? in fact, what is that whole area? it's parklike--the grass is maintained--but it also has the feeling of a moat or a ditch
