I have not been to the place but I have read something about it. Actually, Cabinet of Curiosities is not the only work of arts that will make you really interested to see. You will be able to explore and discover arts across time periods and cultures. I guess, there are 65,000 beautiful work of arts there.

Houston Museum of Natural Science.  It's located in Houston.  Museum District.

Thanks for clarifying that for me !  I've been there so many times as a kid.  I'll have to go back and visit when I'm in town.  I know there is tons to see that has changed in the last few decades.

interesting report. Thanks for sharing. It looks like it slipped down to 9th. They were up in the top five a couple of years ago.

Its really a nice little jewel, and I especially enjoy the mineral collection. I could look at them all day.

I think the "top 5" ranking may have been achieved by counting the Smithsonian institutions as one.

HMNS has a neat exhibit right now- Treasures in Gold and Jade. It is super cool and I highly recommend checking it out- it’s free with admission and is a cool little exhibit.

We went the other day, but didn’t check out the Egypt hall that was just finished- anyone get a chance to have a look? We may give it a go next time we’re there

The King Ramses exhibit is extraordinary.  Houston is one of only three cities in the US getting this exhibit.

Oh wow I had no idea! That is awesome- we’re definitely going to have to check it out then! I saw quite a lot of people there when we went who were talking about getting tickets to it (and the museum was pretty chill that day, too. It was early on Monday and there were no crowds.) so it sounds like it’s been pretty popular!

I heard that the HMNS butterfly exhibit will be closed for a few month the end of this year. The heavy equipment is already starting to show up. The old glass panes will be replaced with new glass. Also some minor interior reconfiguration but, as far as anyone has said, nothing major.
