Dub
Is there anyone on the board who might be able to tell this newbie what the mission / chapel looking structure might be which resides in Booth @ the North East corner of FM2759 (Thompson's Rd.) and Booth Rd.? The land on which it sit's is posted so i have managed to fight off the urge (so far) to investigate closer...
Subdude
Is that the small Mid-Century Modern structure? If so, I've always admired its architecture. I never stopped to look that closely, but if we're thinking of the same place I always assumed it was abandoned.
ChannelTwoNews
I pass this place from time to time since I have a friend that has some land out around Thompsons. Always have meant to get some photos of it since it just grabs your attention from the road.I'll take some photos next time I'm out there. Dub
Thanks News, but decided to roll the scooter out of the garage and take advantage of this warm spring day and a Friday off. The building was apparently the Booth Public School, built in 1912. The general style of the building was what was giving me the impression it might have been a chapel or mission. Anyway, I stand corrected. A Google search did not turn up any additional information, nor the Texas Historical Portal. If anyone has additional information, post it up. It's a white Spanish mission looking building. Actually there are two structures, the auditorium and the school.

NenaE
Probably built in the 1920's. Seems Houston was fond of the Spanish / Mission style during that time period. The East End of Houston has/ had quite a few bldgs. like that. Nice pics.
